E. Magrath
Situation: E. Magrath had low levels of awareness and wanted to separate themselves by standing out from the growing sea of golf apparel competitors. The challenge was to convince the target that they could be comfortable wearing E. Magrath while playing golf, out on the town or for business casual. Solution: Sometimes a tight budget can hinder your ideas by limiting your execution options but it can also force you into thinking about a way to make them work. That was the case with this campaign. We struck upon the really simple idea that most sportswear isn’t versatile and developed visuals that made the point in an unexpected and humorous manner. The toughest part about executing the concepts was the budget. We made it work by asking for a favor from our friend, Dallas photographer Scott Harben and using agency personnel as our talent. The ads got noticed and that translated into better than expected sales.
